Alaysha Whitworth is a secondary science educator in Idaho Falls. She teaches 8th-grade Integrated Science, Physical Science, Biology, Physics, and a variety of STEM classes/electives.

Alaysha was born and raised in the small town of Mackay, Idaho where she graduated in a class of only 18 students. She went to the University of Montana Western where she majored in Biology with a minor in Wildlife Ecology. She worked for the United States Forest Service, the Idaho Fish, and Game, and as an Idaho National Laboratory contractor before becoming a science educator. Her teaching journey started in 2016. She enjoys learning and teaching all things STEM including science/engineering fairs, engineering competitions, drones, coding, robotics, and 3D printing.

Through the iDrone program, she has created hands-on learning projects to utilize in classrooms, including her own. She hopes to integrate drone education and implementation into Southeast Idaho.
